Royal Rumbles 2023 Winner Cody Rhodes

Royal Rumbles 2023 winner was the 36th annual events produced by WWE. Before the match started, the surprises had already seen Pat McAfee made his return to commentary, with delightfully shocking Michael Cole. At Royal Rumbles its most dramatic scene turn as we saw Roman Reigns defects Kevin Owens, we saw breakdown of the bloodline.

Instead of attacking Owens, Sami Zayn knocked Reigns down with a chair. The crowd reacted negatively, but that was the end of Zayn in the Bloodline. Zayn and Owens were decimated in the ring together at the end of the pay-per-view.

The Men's Royal Rumble, which was surprisingly the first match on the show, was also won by Cody Rhodes. Gunther, who was the first entrant and stayed until the end, was unquestionably the star of that Rumble. All hail the Ring General. Cody Rhodes included in winner club list with Hulk Hogan, Shawn Michaels, John Cena, Batista, Triple H, Randy Orton, Edge and Brock Lesnar and Chris Benoit. Where the most Royal Rumbles winner are Stone Cold and Steve Austin

It was a good night to be the Rumble's first or second entrant. Rhea Ripley was ranked first in the Women's Royal Rumble and went on to win the entire thing. She won by eliminating Asuka and Liv Morgan, who were ranked second and third, respectively. The Women's Rumble was arguably the best yet.

The Raw Women's Championship and Lights Out matches were the night's low points. Bray Wyatt's in-ring return was ridiculous, and he had an even sillier post-match angle involving Uncle Howdy. Meanwhile, the Raw Women's Championship match was a dud in which Alexa Bliss appeared to turn dark after losing to Bianca Belair.

Royal Rumbles Highlights 2023

Royal Rumbles Start Time: Sat, Jan 28, 2023, 8:00PM ET

The Men's Rumble kicked off with Intercontinental Champion Gunther and his fierce rival Sheamus entering at Nos. 1 and 2, respectively. Not long after Brogue Kicking The Miz (No. 3) into oblivion, Sheamus formed a match-long alliance with his good friend Drew McIntyre after The Scottish Warrior entered at No. 9.

McIntyre got his revenge on Karrion Kross (No. 7) by eliminating him, but Kofi Kingston (No. 4) took a nasty tumble as Gunther threw him out

Brock Lesnar (No. 12) rumbled his way to the ring, quickly dispatching Santos Escobar (No. 10), Angelo Dawkins (No. 11), and Chad Gable (No. 8). Bobby Lashley (No. 13) made an immediate impact, attacking Lesnar and Spearing Sheamus before eliminating The Beast and bringing the WWE Universe to its knees.

An enraged Lesnar destroyed the announce table with steel steps before F5-ing Baron Corbin (No. 14) as he attempted to enter the match. Moments later, 2019 Royal Rumble winner Seth "Freakin" Rollins (No. 15) made an immediate impact by tossing Corbin in the ring and then out of the Rumble before also eliminating Lashley.

Rey Mysterio (No. 17) was supposed to make an appearance, but he never did. Dominik Mysterio (No. 18) then appeared, holding his father's mask and possibly revealing what happened to his father. As they threw out Gargano, Dominik received assistance from Finn Bálor (no. 20).

Booker T shocked the WWE Universe when he entered his ninth Rumble at number 21, delivering a Bookend and a massive Spinaroonie before being eliminated by Gunther.

With Damian Priest entering at 22, The Judgment Day was in full swing, and Montez Ford was eliminated (No. 23). Their momentum was halted when Edge (No. 24) returned, eliminating Bálor and Priest, but The Judgment Day had the last laugh when Priest and Bálor assisted Dominik in eliminating The Rated-R-Superstar.

Edge kept attacking The Judgment Day until Rhea Ripley caught him off guard with a clothesline, but Beth Phoenix returned to obliterate The Nightmare with a massive Spear. When Omos (No. 26) and Braun Strowman (No. 27) battered each other until Strowman eliminated The Nigerian Giant, the ring quickly filled with giants.

McIntyre and Sheamus were eventually eliminated by Gunther, despite their efforts to save each other throughout the night. Logan Paul (No. 29), competing in his first Royal Rumble Match, and Cody Rhodes (No. 30), who most recently defeated Seth "Freakin" Rollins in a Hell in a Cell Match while recovering from a gruesome pectoral injury, rounded out the field.

Rhodes made his return by throwing out Dominik and Strowman. Paul and Ricochet (No. 28) trash-talked each other on the apron before launching themselves off the opposite top ropes and crashing into each other full force in mid-air.

The Ring General broke Rey Mysterio's record for the longest time spent in a traditional Royal Rumble Match, lasting more than 70 minutes, with the match down to Rhodes, Paul, Gunther, and Rollins.

Paul snuck back in to eliminate Rollins while Rhodes and Rollins were trading blows. Rhodes, on the other hand, ended Paul's night by removing the brash Superstar.

With the last two competitors entering at 1 and 30, respectively, Gunther and Rhodes battled for the ultimate glory for nearly another 10 minutes. Gunther fought back with a massive dropkick and a Powerbomb after Rhodes trapped him in the ropes and hit him with a kick below the belt.

After an earth-shattering Cross Rhodes, Rhodes fulfilled his dream by clotheslining Gunther over the top rope, much to the delight of the WWE Universe and become wwe royal rumble winners.

Cody Rhodes wins Royal Rumble.
