Review | The Last Of Us Episode 7: Ellie And Riley Friendship Story Flashback

The Last Of Us - In last episode 6, we know what happened to Joel, he was seriously injured, snapped by a mobster. All viewers are waiting a week for episode 7 to know what will happen to Joel. Can he survive that fatal injury, if you go through the game The Last of Us we all know he will survive but we want to know how the producer will present the story in series.

The episode 7 starts with a flashback story of Ellie's life just a week before she meets Joel, what happened to her and how she joined Joel. This episode gives a clear vision of Ellie's life as she was during FEDRA schooling. I liked this episode full of emotion showing friends' love. This episode is missing from the game story. It's just adding another star and twist to the series by adding this scene in series. We see Ellie is in Fedra School where she is getting training and schooling to join Fedra in future. While she was jogging in a group and listening to the walkman, one of her colleagues just grabbed her walkman and made fun of her, which made Ellie so angry and she fought with that girl and punched her badly. She was taken to Fedra Commander, who disciplines for fighting. The commander seemed so good, it seemed that Fedra are not that much bad but they are just doing it to keep people alive. He left Ellie without scolding too much and she took her walkman and walked towards her room. We saw her room with some of the paintings on the wall, there was a Mortal Komat photo too, an empty bed in the corner which was her best friend's bed who had been out for many days. While she was sleeping, a stranger entered her room through the windows and covered her mouth with hand. Ellie took out her knife and was to attack but found that it was her best friend Riley. Riley just tells her to keep quiet and she will tell her everything about the situation. Later Ellie came to know she joined Fireflies working for them.

After some argument Ellie and Riley bunk Fedra school to place fairground attraction, where Riley used to live secretly from Fedra. She surprised Ellie by lighting colorful lights. This place was unique for Ellie. She liked this place very much. They both enjoy carousel together talking to each other. We see true friends who love each other, they both enjoy alcohol together. In the last episode I thought it was Ellie's first sip of alcohol when she drank with Joel but I was wrong. We see her drinking in the Flashback story. She had already tried alcohol. 

After that they both played Mortal Kombat together in an abandoned amusement arcade where Ellie can’t win with Riley. Riley is good at this game as she used to play sometimes. They both visit Riley's secret place there, where she used to live and make bombs for fireflies. Ellie saw this bomb which made her feel bad for Riley. They both start an argument on this and Ellie leaves this place but she returns to meet Riley last time but hears some sound  thinking she is in danger. When she reached there she found Riley was joking with Ellie last time so she can remember her. After discussing some time an infected suddenly attack on both of them Ellie killed the infected but they both got bitten by the infected and they both cried. 

Story starts again from the present day where Joel is injured hiding in one of the houses and Ellie was searching for somethings in that house and found thread and needle. She used it by herself to stitch Joel's wound which was so painful.
