Dying Light Gameplay Review
Dying Light is a survival horror video game released in 2015 by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and developed by Techland. The plot of the game revolves around an undercover agent named Kyle Crane who is sent to infiltrate a quarantine zone in the Middle Eastern city of Harran. Like most of movies, It features an open-world city infested with virus, in game we see day and night cycle in which zombies are slow and clumsy during the day but become extremely aggressive at night which are more dangerous than day. In the gameplay there are weapons-based combat and parkour, giving players the option to fight or flee when confronted with danger or zombies. The game also includes an asymmetrical multiplayer mode (which was originally planned as a pre-order bonus) and a four-player co-operative multiplayer mode.

The development of the game began in early 2012, following the completion of Dead Island. The parkour system in the game emphasises natural movement. To do so, Techland had to abandon the majority of the story elements and rebuild them from scratch. The writing team worked with Dan Jolley to create a story that would appeal to an American audience. Heart of Darkness and The Plague were both inspirations for the story. It was announced in May 2013 and released in January 2015 for Microsoft Windows, Linux, the PlayStation 4, and the Xbox One. The game was supposed to be released on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, but due to hardware limitations, these versions were cancelled.
At the time of its release, Dying Light received mostly positive reviews from critics, with praise focusing on the combat, graphics, cooperative multiplayer, navigation, and day-night cycle, while criticism focused on the story, difficulty, and technical issues. There was so much work on game so its can run smoothly with lag free and still developer are working hard and their best to improve the game. The game was the best-selling title in January 2015, breaking the record for first-month sales of a new survival-horror IP. The game was a financial success, with 20 million units sold by April 2022. Techland committed to supporting the game, and several years after its initial release, it released downloadable content packs, content drops, and free updates. Dying Light: The Following, an expansion, was released in February 2016. Dying Light 2 Stay Human, the sequel, was released in February 2022.
