The Last of Us is an HBO post-apocalyptic drama series or post-pandemic survival created by Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann. Based on Naughty Dog's 2013 video game of the same name. The Last of Us is set 20 years after modern civilization has been annihilated. Joel, a seasoned survivor, is hired to smuggle a 14-year-old girl named Ellie out of an oppressive quarantine zone.

Nico Parker portrays Joel's daughter Sarah, Gabriel Luna portrays Joel's younger brother Tommy, Merle Dandridge portrays resistance leader Marlene, and Anna Torv portrays Joel's smuggler partner Tess.
Craig Mazin (HBO's Chernobyl) and Neil Druckmann (The Last of Us and Uncharted video game franchises) wrote and executive produced the film.
Carolyn Strauss (HBO's Chernobyl and Game of Thrones) serves as executive producer, alongside Evan Wells from the original game's developer, Naughty Dog, and Asad Qizilbash and Carter Swan from PlayStation Productions.
The Last of Us is the largest television production in Canadian history, was shot in Alberta between July 2021 and June 2022. It's the first HBO show based on a video game, and it's a collaboration between Sony Pictures Television, PlayStation Productions, Naughty Dog, the Mighty Mint, and Word Games. The first season consists of nine episodes written by Druckmann and Mazin, who also wrote and co-directed the original game. Gustavo Santaolalla, who also composed for the game, and David Fleming collaborated on the score. The Last of Us web series is a great show for fans of the

While escaping city they found that this virus had caused severe problems in city. Everywhere there is fear of virus all are leaving city which cause jam road in city and army took control over city to slow down virus by shooting the infected. Sarah was shot by a soldier while escaping and suddenly Joel was saved by his brother. Now story began from present day where, Joel now works as a smuggler with his partner, Tess, in the Boston quarantine zone managed by the Federal Disaster Response Agency (FEDRA) where FEDRA works as Army to save the place from infected and in Boston there is curfew at night and Boston is protected by them.
When Tommy fails to contact them from Wyoming, they purchase a car battery from a local dealer, Robert, only to be duped when he sells it to the Fireflies, we see a rebel group openly opposed to FEDRA. When Joel and Tess go to retrieve it, they run into Marlene, they saw the situation is different some one had attacked them, the Fireflies' leader, who begs them to take Ellie to the Old State House in exchange for a working truck. Joel and Tess agree this offer by rebel. While leaving Boston at night the three are apprehended while sneaking out by a soldier, who tests them for the infection, revealing Ellie to be positive. Joel murders the soldier, while Ellie claims she is immune. Both Tess and Joel shocked to see this virus didn't affect Ellie.

In episode 2 , they are finally out of Boston, in this episode they show another side of infected world where every things is take over by greenery and Ellie was surprise by the view and Joel explain the life before pandemic then story began back show how this virus spread. On the day of the outbreak, a mycologist in Jakarta, Indonesia, learns of the impending pandemic and advises the government to bomb the city to slow its spread. Tess explains in the present that she is being transported west in the hopes of being used to find a cure. When they discover that the path to their meeting place is infested with infected, they cut through a museum and are attacked by two blind variants of infected, one of whom bites Ellie before Joel and Tess kill them. When they arrive at the Old State House, the Fireflies have been slaughtered by Infected. Tess admits to being bitten while Ellie's bite heals, proving her immunity to virus after that a sad moments start as Tess said Joel to take care of her and take her to place so they can make vaccine. After that Joel and Ellie had to leave place and Tess suicide bomb with infected.
